Welcome to 2026!

Welcome to 2026!

Welcome to 2026 and a year for Growth!

Life has been busy, hectic, and a bit crazy the last few years and the business part was last for priority. It’s time to change that now that the kids are teenagers, the hubby is retiring from the Navy soon, and creativity is a passion.

OK, so onto the real reason for this post. Last year I decided it was time to take control of my own happiness.  Granted, I'm VERY happy in my life but over the years I had become unhealthy.  One year after the "new me beginnings" I'm healthier, happier, and ready to dive into a world I have wanted to for a long time. I still have work to do on me - I have a goal of running a 5K before my 42nd birthday (December). I have NEVER even run a mile in my life. Along with that comes time for riding my horse, going to the beach with the family, and FINALLY going to Sea World this year.

With all that said, ultimately I love crafting and being a maker. I also love teaching others how to make things. Therefore we are stepping into the new year with a new vision for Cherished Crafty Creations. I will be creating video and step by step tutorials on how to make many things. Every time I make something (out of necessity because I want to make things instead of buy them) I am told I need to post how to make them. IT IS TIME!

What can you expect to see? Well, my plans are to have videos- including the OOPS parts - on making tumblers, pretty pens, badge holders, horsehair jewelry, wallets, handbags, lanyards, Christmas decorations, and even barn necessities. Also keep an eye out for a review of the materials and equipment that I use regularly in my makes. I have people asking me all the time what to use and I have my preferences from over a decade of experience with many of the items.

Will I still be selling items? Yes. I will keep this site updated with ready to ship items. But I’m not sure how much I will be doing on custom at this point. I will likely be opening a certain number of listings for custom orders a month so I do not get overwhelmed with them - sometimes they tamper the creativity. Often what I make in the tutorials will be listed on my website. I also plan on making DIY Kits down the road for some of the items that can work that way.

I'm going to make a plan and my goal will be a weekly post for a while. Want to see something made or learn how to make it? Leave me a comment below! I would love to hear from you!

One last thing…we are planning on doing vendor events again this year! I miss getting out and interacting with people to see the quality of my items. So look for Cherished Crafty Creations when you are out and about! Stop by and say hi!

Here’s to an amazing year of growth for us and everyone!
